Seoul, South Korea – 3RD WAVE Music has just returned to Seoul from a three-day performance ministry with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association in Sendai, Japan. The Tohoku Celebration of Hope festival marks the one-year anniversary of the devastating earthquake in Sendai region back in March 2011.

3RD WAVE performed for all three nights of the festival, joined by their guests Alexander Lee Eusebio (formerly of U-KISS) and Choi Siwon (Super Junior) on two separate nights.

The Tohoku Celebration of Hope drew the largest crowd ever gathered for a Christian event in the history of the region, with close to 12,000 people attending over the weekend despite difficult weather conditions. Nearly 900 others were reported to have watched the event through satellite locations throughout Japan.

Before the final night performance, Franklin Graham met with Johnny Lee and Choi Siwon to personally encourage them in their work and ministry, leaving with Siwon a personally-signed Billy Graham Evangelistic Association Bible.

Other artists at the event included Kirk Franklin, the Tommy Coomes Band and Alfie Silas, with the messages preached by Franklin Graham.

 Seoul, South Korea – 3RD WAVE Music will release their new live worship album “IGNITE: 1040” on January 14^th, 2012. It is an arrangement of popular worship anthems led by 3RD WAVE lead vocals, Brian Joo and Johnny Lee.

Recorded live at Seoul’s historic Youngnak Presbyterian Church, IGNITE:1040 contains acoustic and contemplative versions of top Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) songs such as “What A Savior,” and the No 1 CCLI song sung by an estimated 40 million people every week in church services around the world, “Mighty To Save.”

The new live worship album features new and familiar artists in 3RD WAVE Music.

Brian Joo (Fly to the Sky) once again teamed up with singer-songwriter Johnny Lee, singing in tracks drawn from a catalogue of the biggest Christian Contemporary Music (CCM) albums.

Former Korean pop (K-POP) group UKISS member, Alexander Lee Eusebio, lends his voice in track 10, singing a remake of “Looking for the Day,” as a studio track for the album. CCM veteran and Dove Award Winner, Lenny Leblanc, is featured in the album with his own hit “Whiter than Snow.”

3RD WAVE is known for its collaboration with popular pop artists such as Taiwanese- American Vanness Wu (formerly from F4) and Choi Siwon (Super Junior), having featured these artists in their first studio album “I will be there.”

3RD WAVE Executive Producer, Johnny Lee recently returned from Osaka, Japan for Super Junior’s Super Show 4 and is slated to continue touring with Super Junior on their world tour to Taiwan, Singapore and Thailand.

He says: “This is another benchmark in the Contemporary Christian Music industry in Asia.  There are millions of Christians all over Asia and it’s time they are able to get a live worship album by K-POP artists.”
